Jonathon B Baker started drawing when he was old enough to hold a Crayon. His favorite one was the green one. His early years were spent drawing his family members as Disney characters. He attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 1998 and has been painting professionally since he graduated in 2002. He has always had a strong inclination towards illustrative art, surrealism, and representational renderings. Symbolism plays a large role in what inspires his work, from religion to pop cultural references, the meanings run a deep and meandering river of allegory and personal experience.....and then sometimes they're just things that look cool.
