Kristi Lauren:
I am in love with creativity: Creativity is my passion and obsession. I was born and raised in slc, UT with a very creative family and have been inspired by them for as long as I can remember. I have experimented with many types of art and my favorite mediums and projects include, acrylics, pen and ink, marker, book binding, screen printing, sewing, crocheting, knitting, photography, and sculpture. I love trying new things and love creating anything that seems exciting. I believe that my creativity comes from deep inside, from something that needs to be expressed, from something that needs to be let out.

Most of my paintings are on wood with acrylic paint. Lately my favorite things to focus on have been sewing, and hand made books. I am trying to learn how to sew shirts and hoodies together that I will then screen print designs on.

Currently I am studying at the University of Utah and will graduate in march 2012 with a degree in architecture. For the next few years I plan to go to architecture grad school. My goal as an architect will be to work in the field of low income and social housing. I believe that every person, no mater what income, has a right to spaces full of light and form that give humans a higher quality of life. For the future I want to build homes, furniture, and light fixtures obsessing over creativity for the rest of my life.

I am glad to be apart of this event, it is for a good cause.

Without my creativity I would not exist and the people that have inspired me are very important to me. My sister and brother in law, Renee and Todd Keith are a huge inspiration to me.
